What type of Logo Style suits your Business

The type of logo design you choose depends on your business industry and budget, but the most important is what style will explain most about your business and present your corporate identity. Let's take a look at each style to help you decide.

Text/Icon Logos

Most professional companies such as law firms and accountancies tend to use a text-based logo of their name set with a simple icon. The purpose of the logo's icon is a symbol that represents a visual image (with or without text) and conveys a message to the consumer. The icon can consist of the simple image/drawing as a Silhouette of an Illustration that is representational, such as a tree, a house, a leaf or even a handshake. Alternatively, it can consist of the abstract such as the shapes of a triangle a square or a circle. The logo should also be memorable and visually appealing as it will be a represent your business and should be easy to remember for the customer, this helps your customer identify your industry at a glance. We try to keep our icons unique, as it should not be confused with a competitor.

Logo Design from Your Idea

To achieve a professional looking logo you start with a fresh sheet of paper and pencil. Think about the meaning and the feeling you want the logo to impart to the viewer. Is it for a high-tech game company or a historic non-profit organisation? Should it be complex or simple? As you are thinking, sketch as many ideas as possible. Don’t worry about making everything perfect. You just want to let your natural creative flow. When you are satisfied with your ideas to email them to design@inspiredlogos.com and we'll take over from there. (For those of you with graphics software on your computer or tablet, you can try sketching your ideas directly on your device, but try and keep away from special brushes and effects.)

Silhouette or Illustration Logos

A Silhouette is a view of an object or scene consisting of the outline and a featureless interior, with the silhouetted object usually being black.

We analyse the costume drawing, image or photograph from our stock library or rough drafts sent in, we then draw out the simple line drawing in a professional design software called "Adobe Illustrator" and improve by filling in the shape with one colour. We may be able to fill in the shape as two or more solid colours if the object is split.

An Illustration is a visualisation such as a drawing, painting, photograph or other work of art that stresses subject more than form. The aim of an illustration is to elucidate or decorate textual information (such as a company brand, brochure, booklet, leaflet, story or newspaper article) by providing a visual representation.

We analyse the costume drawing, image or photograph from our stock library or rough drafts sent in, we then draw out the simple line drawing in our professional design software called "Adobe Illustrator" and improve by filling in the shapes as tone and shades of colours creating a 3D effect to your image.

Redesign from your Existing Logo

The need to update or revamp your logo design does not mean that your previous logo was poorly done or inadequate. It's just that a new, more modern look shows your customers, clients, and partners that you and your company are serious about keeping up with modern trends.

If you're not sure whether your logo could use a redesign or not, here are some questions to ask yourself:

1) Does my logo look professional?

2) Is it eye-catching?

3) How does it reflect on my brand positioning and personality of my business?

4) Is my logo unique?

5) Has the focus of my business changed since my previous logo was designed?

6) Could a redesigned logo reflect the new direction of my business more effectively?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might want to begin looking for logo designers. At Inspired Logos, our professional graphic designers understand exactly how to update a logo while remaining faithful to your brand and the image that you need to portray. We offer to revamp logo design packages for any size business. Send us your current logo to design@inspiredlogos.com and our design team will be in touch within 24 working hours.

Crest/Coat of Arms or Cartoon Character Logo

Making a memorable brand for a small business is challenging. They don't have the money that large businesses have to invest in creating brand awareness. So, the small business needs to make sure their image stands out in a meaningful way and leaves a lasting impression. Crest/Coat of Arms or a Character-based logos tend to do that - because the viewer connects to the brand in a more meaningful way than other branding techniques. And the fact that this type of branding and Image Manipulated logos is still relatively unpopular is all the more reason why it works so well, it's unexpected, it appears fresh - and the viewer probably hasn't seen it before.

3D Image Manipulated logo

Image manipulations are a great source for inspiration, generally because designers are able to express their creativity through various aspects of design.

How can we believe anything we see anymore? With today's technology, we can literally do anything we want with images, this is called image manipulation.

Image manipulation is an ever evolving collaboration between photography and graphic design.

Combining certain elements to create a unique image, that can convince even the most experienced set of eyes, requires a very creative set of skills.

Because the manipulation of a photo gives a realistic view of an unreal picture, you should have an open mind when gathering ideas on how to get creative with your images.
